Capsicum chinense

PI 439423
1604

A strange, unclassified variety from Costarica.
It has intermediate characters between Capsicum chinense (leaves, annular constriction in calyx) and Capsicum annuum (big white flower, single pod per node); maybe it's a cross.
Plant grow up to 2,25 m (!) with a very large foliage and produced a great amount of pendulous pods maturing from dark green to bright red.
Leaves on the lower branches are enormous.

Update:
I verified better pods per node and I found that in few cases there are two pods per node.
I tasted the pods; smell is more similar to Capsicum annuum, but heat is high and taste is very good, almost sweet; maybe this is a perfect pod for who wish high heat, but don't like Capsicum chinense intense smell.
